KesherWorker
My name is Samantha Clark, and I joined Jewish Collaborative Services in November 2022 as the new, full-time Kesher/Case Manager. I received a B.A. in Psychology with a focus in Gerontology from the University of Rhode Island. I specialize in older adult populations, and have experience working in senior services (LTC, ALF/SNF, Adult Day, Senior Centers), case management, community action programs, and other non-profit organizations.
The JCS Kesher program connects all of JCS’ programs and resources to the Jewish community through contact with the synagogues. This includes assessment of congregant needs, especially for older adults and those with financial, housing or food insecurity; information and referral for identified resources, financial assistance for basic needs, short-term counseling, support groups, and Family Life Education, among others. Beginning in February 2023, we will offer two virtual support groups that are free and open to all. On the first Wednesday of each month, I will co-facilitate a Chronic Illness Support Group and on the third Wednesday of each month, we will facilitate a Grief Support Group with Tara Watkins, LICSW. More information and links to register for each group are found on the home page of the Temple Sinai website. I welcome your phone calls and emails and look forward to connecting with you all this year.
