Kosher Senior Café
Temple Sinai is a host site for Jewish Family Services of Rhode Island's hot kosher meals. The program, offers kosher meals and socializing for older adults and those with physical disabilities. Meals are served each Friday.
In addition to a delicious hot meal at noon, there is a program each day at 11 AM. Programs include lectures and films, music, bingo, dance therapy, blood pressure screening, and kibbitz groups led by JFSRI. Participants quickly become part of a vibrant community. Meals are provided by Accounting for Taste, a local kosher catering company.
Reservations are required two days in advance for meals, and there is a suggested donation of $3 per meal. There is no charge for scheduled social activities. Transportation to and from each site may be available for local residents. (See the FAQ for details.)
